Job Summary

We are currently seeking a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our team. This role is responsible for providing outpatient services to individuals and groups via telehealth.

Minimum Qualifications
Education:
  • Master’s degree as a LMFT
Education:
  • Must have a current unrestricted CA state License
Experience
  • Facilitating 5+ client sessions per week
  • Assisting with treatment plans
  • Guiding clients through transitional crises
Responsibilities: (includes but not limited to)
  • Perform quality therapeutic services to clients, and in accordance with organization policies
  • Completing required entries in EHR system
  • Provide services in a professional manner
  • Attend collaboration meetings
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Knowledgeable of organization’s policies, practices, operating rules, and expectations of employees
  • Must adhere to high standards regarding ethics and confidentiality as provided by the State Board
  • Provides input and adheres to organizational methodologies
  • Evaluates clients physical or mental condition based on review of information
  • Counsels family members to assist in understanding and supporting clients

  • Demonstrates knowledge, ability, and willingness to learn about various ethnic and culturally diverse backgrounds
  • Demonstrates knowledge of reporting laws and all legal aspects of care applicable to specific populations
  • Adheres to professional ethics, practice, and values

  • May assist in the interview process of potential staff
  • Organized with time management skills
  • Communicates effectively both orally and in writing
  • Works well independently or in a team setting
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
  • Establish a rapport and understanding of each client/client situation
  • Develop therapies within ethical guidelines and legal standards
  • Relevant skills in exercising initiative, good judgment and sound decision-making
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing

Position Type/Work Schedule

This is a full-time, non-exempt, 40 hour/week position, requiring occasional evening and weekend work and the ability to be flexible and responsive to emergent needs of MHRCET.

MHRCET strives to deliver services and support necessary to improve the quality of life for children, youth, and adults with mental illness.

Applicants must have voice and video capabilities in order to conduct and follow-up with interviews.
