Everyday families are challenged and impacted by the needs of a loved one diagnosed with a mental health illness. Symptoms can be confusing, scary, and difficult to live with. They may even create tension in your personal and professional life. But once an individual has been diagnosed and in treatment, healthcare providers may depend on family members more than ever as a key resource for support and recovery.
Our Family Support Specialists assist with understanding mental health conditions once treatment commences and throughout recovery. Family Support Specialists conduct support groups, connect individuals to state and local resources, mentor and counsel family members. They work as education advocates and at times, silent supporters.
Additional Family Support Services include a range of mental health education, parenting classes, and connecting with our online community via TeleCafé.
