Volunteering allows you to bring your own experience, knowledge, enthusiasm, and knowledge to the services we provide.
Requirements for volunteering vary and may include reference and background checks when handling sensitive information.
Orientation and training is required of all volunteers. The process not only helps to become familiar with programs and services but to advocate with a clear understanding of those we serve.
SKILLS TRAINING (cont.)
Individuals need to interaction with others to maintain their soft skills. Without this, basic social skills, depression and isolation are inevitable, leading to further destructive consequences of one’s mental health.
WELLNESS WORKSHOP (cont.)
Our wellness program is an in-depth health and fitness program designed and facilitated by our partner program, SYNE30. Services are provided as a referral, corporate wellness, or direct contact.
ELEARNING (cont.)
eLearning courses allow individuals to access self-help content, academic, and technical study lessons wherever an internet connection is available. Courses are flexible and tailored to every individual with long-term benefits and achievements.
WORKFORCE EDUCATION (cont.)
MHRCET provides Comprehensive Education and Awareness Training (CEAT) designed for professionals working in and outside of the mental health field. No experience or knowledge is required to participate.

Everyday families are challenged and impacted by the needs of a loved one diagnosed with a mental health illness. Symptoms can be confusing, scary, and difficult to live with. They may even create tension in your personal and professional life.
PEER SUPPORT SPECIALISTS (cont.)
Peer Support Specialists are individuals in recovery from mental health and/or substance use disorders. They identify and apply personal experiences to assist others in the early stage of recovery. Peer-run programs focus on general support and advocacy to promote social inclusion strategies.

The Affordable Care Act provides Americans with better health security by putting in place comprehensive health insurance reforms that will:
The Affordable Care Act actually refers to two separate pieces of legislation — the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (P.L. 111-148) and the Health Care and Education Reconciliation Act of 2010 (P.L. 111-152).
The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) is responsible for implementing laws passed by Congress related to Medicaid, the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP), and the Basic Health Program.
