Your voice is needed and you will be heard. You must have a vested interest in our vision and lend a voice and value to the development of the organization. Individuals should possess knowledge and expertise to better assist with what is lacking and needed in and around our communities.
Mental Health and Recovery Counseling Education and Training (MHRCET) Board Members have an ethical responsibility to ensure that the organization does the best work possible in pursuit of its goals. Members believe in the purpose and the mission of the organization and pledge to assist in carrying out its work.
Responsibilities (include):
- Leading the Board and Executive Committee to carry out its governance functions
- Partnering with the President/CEO to help ensure the Board’s directives, policies, and resolutions are carried out
- Assessing the performance of the Board and its committees
- Reviewing with the President/CEO any issues of concern to the Board
- Assuring the ongoing development of Board members
- Serving as an ambassador of the organization and advocating its mission to internal and external stakeholders
An initial meeting is required for all interested parties, in addition to reviewing and submitting the Board Member Contract and Code of Ethics and Confidentiality Policy Agreement required to sit on the Board.
